The Choke Point

Mid-term exam would be started since these weeks. My hard-working plan also ought to face some self-examination and choke point. We couldn’t go further if we didn’t stop and change. From the beginning of this semester, there are several plans have been carry out. We can classify them for three main parts. The first one is about music; spending time on practicing electric guitar and drum has been the most important habit in the morning. I also tried some new style of music these days.

The second one was about sports. Though, I still want to do more than I have done. It has been still taken too much of my time. Basketball and swimming was the main goal. Both of them are item which I good at. Thus, I have more wish to do them well, and I also got the great result. Since the colder weather and ambition, they would be modified two weeks later.

Stopper

There has been one month after the beginning of this semester. I have the fewest courses in my life. However, too many things have been wanted to accomplish in the last two years. I must to rethink of my schedule each day. In a normal day, I have to spend three hours on practicing musical instruments, that is it take me whole morning time. And then, I have routine works which I need to spend more than four hours at the lab though there are no works to do. It was just started, so I hope I would get the control of these chores. Final, for club, it was still not changed for me at all.

Thus, I want to find out what would make me waste time totally. The computer using might be the biggest problem. It was not wrong for computer itself, but some temptations might coexist at the same time. As a result, I change my habit at first because I think how much time I use computer was very unstable. Sometimes, it might be under control. I have made the list of some new method for me to change my habit. I observed which time I would turn on the computer and waste time. Final, I discovered that there three parts of time I might turn on the computer and waste time.

Another Thinking of Music

After three weeks of the new semester, I prolong some kinds of style again. For music or for trying any new things, the parts I am familiar with would make a sense of security. Though, I have said I would forgive music again and again, some new songs still have been made continue. At the same time, I still spend lots of time on practicing guitar and drum. Playing drum is my job, and playing guitar is just for fun. We couldn’t neglect the truth that I spend lots of time on practicing the piano in the summer vacation. However, I still think it wasn’t enough at all.

At the digital music creation club, I would change my position due to my age and seniority. I used to create pop music, because the reason why I write them is for lyric in the beginning. The story for song would be more important than the music itself. Nevertheless, it is the different situation; I have learned many different kinds of music instrument. At the same time, I have learned the characteristic of them. Certainly, I could have more elements than others. It might be the main reason why I want to try to put more emphasis on music itself. I would try many kinds of style music for this year. The first trying is to mix the distortion guitar and violent drum playing. I am familiar with two of them. And next, I might try some special chord; it would for the classical music theory. Or I might create much film music.

On the other hand, what would me us much progress is playing band. It had come true though we hadn’t made too much effort. Some members of our club want to establish a creation band which any member in them should write down their own songs. Fortunately, there are any players we need in our clubs. Thus, it has done it. We have decided which song we will perform at first. Then, we will compose and practice at the same time. Joining in an all creation band is always my dream in the past. This dream has come true, so I shouldn’t waste this opportunity and try harder next.

The Time To Transfer

It is a day that all of us have to decide how to plan this semester. There were series of welcome party of many clubs last two weeks. I always have a big to do list in life, for two years, or even for six years. How to transfer from acoustic art to visual art might be a biggest mission for these two years. Joining the art club and learn more software and designing would be another good method. I had tried to design many poster, website or clothes of some organization many times. And on the other hand, some architecture courses might help me at the same time. However, I haven’t put my most emphasis on them, on the other word, the design or even visual art had never been part of my life. It would be main problem I have to face, because it might be a key point for me if I could do it well.

Photograph, video, poster designing would be an advantage for me. In fact, though, all of them need the concept, it made by the computer or another machine, not by our hand completely. Indeed, I have to learn how to observe any detail of things clearly first. It needs to become a habit as the time I listen music I could analysis the tracks of that song. The skills should be improved, for hand drawing skills and computer processing. Two of them would be useful whatever I would be or do in the future. I set the software learning list in the beginning. I had learned the FLASH, photoshop, and little bit of CAD. In my experience, if we need to learn something well, the most important thing we have to do is to finish some works. Only when we do that, we could find out which we need and we have to learn.

The next I have to learn is some software about vector graphic drawing and hand drawing. And after them, it should put more time on CAD and 3Ds graphic. The first one would be an important tool for my job, and the other one might need lots of time to learn well. Though, the list has been set, I still have good method for me to finish some works. I think it is time that I have to play another big project which would be made by these. Ok, all right. I would find out.

New Room

The summer vacation would be end in fact. Our free day is over unfortunately. We don’t have any reason to be lazy for our task in summer vacation. One is the video and music collection and another is the decorating our room. The first will be finished next week in my schedule. Thus, how to finish up the decorating might be the first topic this week.

It was started little later than the video and music collection. Due to lack of experience, I had been afraid to start or even fear to face the mistakes. Because it is easy to modify any details on computer, we couldn’t do that so easy for handiwork. On the other hand, how to ensure the topic might be another problem. I didn’t want to design any beautiful decorating without any meanings. The works which have more than two elements might be a good design.

In the beginning, I thought up many crazy thinking, such as changing the color at wall or even change the horizontal of room by some lines. Though, it might be a good thinking, it was still hard to achieve because of bad skills. At that time, I didn’t have any good idea anymore. Thus, I decided to choose the photos in trips in the beginning. And then I tried to put them to the wall without thinking. As soon as we try something, some inspirations would appear at the same time. Though, I only have few days a week at Hsinchu, the process still was remarkable after these trying.

Then, I decided my topic, the works. Because another task in this summer vacation is the video and music collections, I wanted to do another collection in my room to correspond it. Thus, some photos and poster became the key point. I had to spend lots of time making up and I changed their size I order to make some fresh. Moreover, the school timetable and glory exhibition is another element in my room. Although, in my setting that it would be finished this week, it was a good exhibited space I fact. I could put any new works to fill the wall, and I hope it would be plentiful in the future.

For Transition

It seems the same life as usually this week. In fact, some of my works would be finished soon, and that some preparation would start at the same time. My website have been made for long time, I need to accomplish them more quickly though there are still some video unfinished. On the other hand, our club and lab have some works to take over to or from other. I will change my role for transition and the life in the future. The most important reason why I have been bored is that I continue doing these plans for one and half months. The same skills and the same cooperator make me greasy. It was time for me to change to enjoy a new life.

Before playing well, I think I have to finish some works first. I will do my best to accomplish the decoration and the website. Then, I can spend less time on the ending works of them after next week. Unfortunately, it doesn’t mean that I could enjoy the leisure then. There will be more works for lab due to the coming equipment. Before setting up them, I still need to spend lots of time on researching the new program. On the other hand, some training will start. Because of some injury, I haven’t put too much emphasis on training this summer vacation. It didn’t like me in the past. Thus, it will be a new training plan next week. I hope I could do more measure a week after a week.

Finally, there are only two books in my reading list. How exciting it is. Though, I spend much time on two main plans, the reading still efficient all the day. After these two books, I might finish the history learning plan which has been sustained for two years. I won’t give up, but it will change as another role in my life. Finding the question and answers replace the method that is basic learning. History still a good research project, but I want to try some different next semester. Novel or even English novel might be a good choice, and the design is also a part I want to learn more. Though, I believe I won’t have too much free time then, I still do my best on these days.

Under Control

I have only three works in this summer vacation. Translation or not, these works might be the linking or conclusion for past or future. It takes me three or four days a week being at Hsinchu or Taipei. I have to two different works of them, for lab or for our website. On the other hand, the most important, the decorating our room is also a difficult mission for me in this summer vacation.

The visual design is always a good domain which attracts me but I have not been good at all along. I did lots of pre-design and simulation before going to operation. In the past, we are used to design by our computer. Thus, we could use any colors which we could imagine or we could modify easily all the time. However, these advantages might not be suitable for decorating the room. The notable difference is that we have to prepare all the material by ourselves. We cannot choose any color, unless you can find and buy them. More, the modification would be very hard. As a result, I was afraid of starting in the beginning. I changed the plan and blueprint again and again until I started. That I just know that going to operation might be the best chance to stimulate inspiration. Finally, I chose about fifty photos from my 30 gigabytes disk. All of them are about the trip during my collage life. Unfortunately, my room has no enough space to fill these photos well. I have no idea but I still finished this wall. And then I change another idea to design other walls. The clear contrast might be another choice.

Thus, I did my best and all the time to do them two of these weeks. Fine, some structure has been clear already. Then, my schedule is also under control. Though, it is a very big plan in this summer vacation, it won’t be continued after September in fact. How to speed up our progress is important. However, there are still lots of new things which are waiting for us to learning. It would be another challenge, but I am looking forward to them.

To Finish Up

The end of July, or the last and the most special summer vacation, I try very hard to get used to the new life which is not a complete vacation. I have to work for lab some days a week though there is not any course in these two months. Our collage life is over in fact. Thus, I still think I have to do something to finish up the career because we might have no any chances to do them. Music and photograph or even the film taking are the three biggest harvests. In this way, I decided to do the website collect all of my works during these four years. However, the website might be another works also. I want to put more emphasis on designing and FLASH application.

This plan has been started since the time when I moved to the new department. Though, I have the clearly skeleton, some works have not been finished already. I designed the website and keep on doing these works at the same time. Some of them had no lyric or some of them have not cut yet. I spent lots of time on designing and the most things is trying and trying. What about the finishing all of works might be another smooth step. I usually stay at school three days a week and I didn’t bring them home last months. Fortunately, the progress is under control, so I decide to change my plan next month. As a result, I will continue my website on weekend and record music on the morning and then I could spent other time on decorating my new room which is also the thing I wanted to do very much in the past.

On the other hand, except the music, photograph, and the film taking, some of my hobby would be put to another position in the next semester. Some might in my life naturally, some might be touched off by the inspiration or some might disappear in the future. I think I will spend a month to allocate them. I don’t want to regret one day in the future.

Never Surrender

I haven’t missed any the Hohaiyan Rock Festival for five years. It is no exception for this year. However, most of my classmates have to go to work for laboratory; it would be harder for them to spend too much time on enjoying life. Just like last year, we planned some schedules after the last night of Hohaiyan Rock Festival. Fortunately, we have made an appointment near the beach, so we can avoid the traffic jam at this time.

The first day of our trip, no doubt, was Hohaiyan Rock Festival. We set out earlier than before, but it was still difficult to get in the train. We missed the first one, so we decide to go to another train to get in easier. Finally, we arrived at destination at noon. We went to the beach after finishing the lunch. Though, the weather was still hot, but it would be better than before. We believed it would get less sunburn. The music concern started at four o’clock. Then, we changed our sites from beach to stage. We dig a big hole first and then lay in. They had different theme each day. I don’t know what was on Sunday, but they invited many foreign bands with different styles this day. Most of people were looking forward to Mayday, but I think there are some bands better than them at that night.

I hope...

After the graduation ceremony, there will be only one thing left in this semester is the final exam. However, I have only one main subject with final exam, and another would be the final project. Thus, how I plan the next week might be more important than before. On the other hand, some works have been carrying out. I think all of them will be finished in the end of June, so I am not so worried about these achieved percentage of scheduled progress. Two projects might be a mission. I always want to finish the homework before others, but some delays had been always happened. There are two weeks left, and I have already understood and know what the goal for these works for me. I hope I could finish them as fast as possible and have done before any other work. Then, I could take my all power to execute plan.

Moreover, after these two weeks of final exam, I will enjoy my new life and learn new things. The biggest problem of this semester is to divide what should I learn between nowadays or summer vacation. The biggest difference between them is what resource could I use, one is at home, and another is at school. By the way, I tried out to reduce the time of computer using on the summer vacation. As a result, I tried to learn some software using in the beginning, including some works which are difficult to carry out at home. Nonetheless, there are still lots of indeterminate condition. There might be three parts of summer vacation and they have their still own mission independent.

Furthermore, the next semester would be another problem. I sometimes go to lab lately, so I already have some concepts about the postgraduate life. I would be very boring if you didn’t have any plan. Trying more new thing might still my goal in the future, though I would put more emphasis on my research. Everything will be interesting when they are mixing. Different life style and new trying would bring some fresh and vigorous. For now or for future, I should have more confident in my life.

Summer Travel 2

The first evening in Chiayi City we went to the one of their night market. In Chiayi City, there are two main night market, one is about clothing shopping, another is near Carrefour and it has a name such like the Chinese name of Carrefour. By the way, it is a night market about lots of snack which we were used to. He had finished our dinner at the night market and gone to shopping at Carrefour then.

Though, the weather have been bad for first two days, it had become better at the third day. Thus, we decided to go to somewhere further. Finally, we choice the BeiGang and XinGang where is famous for temples. It is at the Yunlin County, but it is near Chiayi Country. We spent about one hour riding motor from Chiayi City to BeiGang. Without a doubt, we arrived at temple again and again. It is hard for me to find out other meanings for there without temples. Eventually, we ate lunch here and stayed about four hours. Then, we went home and took a nap. Such a relax trip. It was the third day I took a nap during the journey.

Summer Travel

May, which means the summer is coming and the weather would be hotter for sure. I have been waiting these days for long days. What the season is suitable for taking a trip I started preparing and would be fulfill final. There are many people who have been studying in the southern of Taiwan I am familiar with. Some of them are my classmates, club mates, or even my younger brother. Thus, I decided to take a trip from Chiayi County to Tainan City. There are three universities I would visit: National Chung Cheng University, National Chiayi University, and National Cheng Kung University.

It was the Wednesday I have only two courses in the afternoon, so I took the train to the Chiayi County in the evening first. The National Chung Cheng University is my first destination. I wasn’t too unfamiliar because I have ever been there before. However, when I arrived there, the time was about ten o’clock in the evening. My younger brother took me and went to eat some late night snacks. Though, it is not bustling near the school, but there are still lots of shop which is for student there. Second day, I got up early and went to school with my brother. His has some courses in the morning, so I had to stroll by myself. Because I have been there before, most of the spot I have already known. I was taking some pictures and visit something I wanted to know more such as club office, library, and kinds of department which could express some. The gym and sports ground is complete. I haven’t been any school which has more than them. And we went to the urban district and ate lunch, but I still spent lots of time in the school to be familiar with.

The Last Opportunity

We are not sure the life in the future which is about the graduate school, but we can treasure the time in these two months and do something we might not do anymore. I usually believe this time might be a buffer or connect the time between university and graduate school. Though, we are still in the same school we used to familiar with. The life between them would be clearly different. The interpersonal relationship would be different especially. Some plans will be continues by ourselves, but some plans will work harder due to fewer interpersonal relationship. We might still recognize many people in the class, but much of them might put more emphasis on their research instead of gaming. Thus, how to avoid the regret and pity is the most important works these days.

We join some clubs in four years, but I still think some of my works I used to want to do were still difficult to carry out. One of them is taking a film or movies which need many different roles and workers, so we have tried hard to fulfill it. Some of my friends are good partner in these works and we might introduce more suitable people to each other sometimes. How much money we would get wasn’t the important question forever. What we want is just to fulfill our dreams.

It has started for two weeks. We spent our whole holidays on these plans. One of them is a film with my senior high classmate and another is pictures with a micro story. By the way, I act as different roles and different workers in the different works. I might be director, scenarist, or even actor. Yes, the act which I have seldom been in the past would be a new challenge for me. Moreover, the director of the film is abnormal. He likes to make his actor challenge some higher skills. In fact, I have to do some very difficult act such as climbing the rock or even collapsing. However, I still think it was a very good opportunity. We couldn’t look forward to recognize any people who are willing to be a partner with you. I hope I will success before the end of semester.

Waiting Is A Kind of Giving Up

After the mid-term exam and club exhibition, large parts of important mission in this semester have been over. There will be still two complete months then. It was also the last two months in my collage life. In fact, there is something we have ever wanted to, but we didn’t due to some reasons or even the excuse. The movies or some photograph works about some meanings might be what I want. However, such a works need lots of help by others. Composing music or performing music need also, but I have had a good environment and great partner in clubs fortunately. It was time for us to change, after I finished my lyrics works last months which I hadn’t tried for a long time.

I think the first works we have to do is about the photograph works. We have already found out some good material and subject matter. By a Chinese poem, we have to transform into a visual photo with a story. It wasn’t too unfamiliar for me. Nonetheless, to finish some works with other might felt more pressure than before. We would not be responsible for ourselves only anymore.

And then another works will be taking some films. In fact, we have to do two or three works at the same time. There are for some different purposes or even homework. It will be possible for us to conduct together, but some ideas might be exchange each other, said be mixing disorder. We had written the story and finished the script. It was the bigger works than photographs, because we have more scenes and we have to find some places which are not easy to go. However, we have more time to finish them. We might take in these two months, and cut and edit in the summer vacation, or we can also take some parts of them in the summer vacation. We are not sure at all, because it is hard to predict anything when you have to collaborate with others.

Another Practice

After the long story, I return to my own statue, not an engineer or even not a student. It is a gift which is from our own faith and values. Thus, I have a long span of free since March, and then I would have six months totally. However, it is impossible for me to just relax all day long during this free time. I have made some plan before finishing all exams. It was as same as the time when I was a freshman in the college. Each one might want to try something special which we hadn’t done before. The last time I wanted to learn some instrument and music composing skills. This time, it might be the Industrial Design, art, or even animation.

In fact, three of them connect each other. Visual works are always built on the painting skills, so we have to improve our skills first, chromatology and how to processing light and shadow especially. In the university, I had ever tried to join some clubs or courses about these domains. One was photograph and the other is architecture. It is helpful for me to learn these things certainly, but I still want to make some effort from the beginning.


However, it might be such a big plan that I couldn’t handle all of them at the same time. As a result, I separated them and put them in the different time parts. I think my life would be three different spans. One is from now until I would graduate from the collage. Before that day, I will have to go to school three days a week and I still have to spend some time on studying three or four courses. Having a full decision-making power of my own space might be an advantage. Thus, I need to learn how to use 3D Graphic Application and improve my drawing skills first. All I have to do most is practice and practice. I think I have found some good source material. Moreover, reading some books about art might get some motivation. It would be more than two months in the future. I hope I will make progress during these time.

Tunghai University

It was a special case for me to visit Taichung again. I always think that there are lots of my friends have lived in Taichung for many different reasons. However, I seldom visit them in fact. Thus, it was a good chance for me due to too much free time for me this semester. Except Taichung, I will go any other cities which my friends live in. This time, we didn’t have own vehicle. Thus, we have to go anywhere by bus.

As usual, we arrived in Taichung at ChaoMa in the beginning. The traffic in urban district in Taichung is awful, so we had always avoided these places as far as possible. The main goal of our plan was going to visit some school in Taichung which we hadn’t been before. However, I have been there for many times, it is impossible for me to go too much places where I haven’t been. Thus, we still made a decision to go to Tunghai University first. It was an old school which has bigger schoolyard than other private schools. On the other hand, the building in their school is famous for the different style. For example, such a flower garden might be in an engineering institute. The weather wasn’t so bad at that day, we just enjoyed stroll in the schoolyard. In fact, it was the second time when I have been here. Nonetheless, it was another yard where isn’t too far from the main yard. The department of music and some kinds of college of business is at there. The buildings in there are the newest, but they have to pay five dollar to take the bus for backing to the main yard.

Taipei Zoo

Taipei zoo, where our clubs (CKFGEISC) have wanted to go for many years. These years we take place many kinds of activities already, such as the camp for cadre members, traveling around the island by train, or even just going to Taichung or Ilan. However, we were always used to prepare bigger plan. The trip which is about going to the zoo might be such small that we always neglect and forget it. As a result, we thought of this idea when we were freshmen in the university, but it have never fulfilled since that day. Fortunately, due to the effort of some members, we finally decided to go to the zoo in this spring vacation.

Spring vacation, which is about five days’ vacation, is in the first week of April. Nonetheless, there are still some differences between different schools. Some started earlier and some even had none. We choice the Friday for such a trip, some still could not here though owing to the difference of vacation.

The Fourth Art EXPO

The annually art clubs of NCTU exhibition have been held again. It was the fourth time for me to join this activity. We tried to make some remarkable progress each year. For example, we just put a computer to exhibit the music in the beginning. And then we joined the other elements such as music video, members and instruments introduction, or even the website. Each of them might not be too difficult to accomplish, but they still a good chance to change, or to improve.

Though, it was the fourth time for me to hold them. It still took much time; due to I wanted to try some different thinking. The most I spent time on was the website which has to display all of our works. I still remember that I designed the website with the other who was major in computer science last year. As a result, I didn’t have to worry about the technique problems. Just put emphasis on typesetting or composing. However, he had been graduated since last September. I lost the most important helper. Thus, I have to solve any problems for this website this time.
