Smooth Breakthrough

This week is absolutely the refresh stage not only for the work but also for the daily life. Due to the good news acquired on the Monday, we eventually can let the pressure down and arrange the new plan for next phase. After completing the learning schedule of Flash, Premiere and Inventor, what I only need to do for next two months are the preparation for trip and finished the animation works. For the work, I have also entered the new stage, which I am able to focus on specific issue at least. So far, there are the three major projects in my hand. Except settling the annoying lower data transfer problems, another perplexed issue was the communication between the driver and human machine interface.

Unfortunately, this problem have existed for more than three months. In the beginning, the hardware structure including the HMI, PLC, and driver. For the above framework, the critical communication is between the PLC and driver. It offer the RS-485 protocol for further application, but there are no easy-use functions to make the connection directly. We have to define and build the entire data to connect smoothly. Furthermore, the standard connector employed make us require making it for ourselves. If there are any mistakes in the building process, we will not know what happened exactly. However, when the project have reached to the third quarter of the entire process, we found that the PLC is the replaceable element in the system. Thus, the PLC had removed out and what we had to do next is to connect the HMI and driver directly. However, not like the PLC, the delta HMI already have the connecting function between each element of Delta at least. Although, we still had encounter several problems during the building the structure, the critical points had been solved by discussing with the developed department of HMI.

After couples of weeks, I have focus on the revising and programing the code on the HMI. Compare to the PC and PLC, the HMI program is what I am not familiar with most. I hope I could enhance and improve the skill via writing code and studying the manual simultaneously. Fortunately, though the pace had been slower, I still completed the key function in the system. There are merely four weeks left for me to fulfill the following tasks, including the code writing for the other small but critical function and furthermore the hardware building. I had operated the practical test in the framework half year earlier, but I have to rebuild the identical system this time. Additional, the applier is necessary to be joined this time because we have more completely framework for the further applied test. Thus, solving the hardware problems would be the first tasks next, and then I could put more on writing the code and make the deeper adjustment.

On the other hand, the extra short-term project of SPC system development have been reached to the last phase. The span of total development would be merely two months, so I only need to establish the simple version for the basic application. In the last two week, I had not only research the static-related issue, but also the data dealing. How to deal with the data smoothly and perfectly is the fundamental issue in this project. I had tied several ways to import and export the data. In the final, I had chosen the well-managed method to deal with the vast amount of data in the program. Nonetheless, there are still some task to be completed next, inclusive of exporting the data and the chart by the useful function, and finally, writing the manual. Although, the above works would be the tough problems in the progress, it still affect me to allocate the resource and time between the other things.
