The Manufacturing Exhibition in Thailand

The first day of exhibition, I attempted to get up much earlier, because I would have to commute in this unfamiliar city. Due to absence of preparation yesterday, I still had to install the pressing module and set up the video on the platform. Fortunately, I had merely spent 20 minutes on commuting to the exhibition center, so I arrived at the center earlier more than 15 minutes prior to the beginning. There was no any member I had met before, so when I arrived at our booth I require to greet the colleagues of our corporation. And then, I tried my best to make the remained preparation and completed in the ten minutes. The type of our entirely expression was not too far from what we had done in Taiwan. There were two major parts, one was the key components and another was the dynamic equipments demonstrating during the exhibition. This time, there were three dynamic equipments which including our servo press. However, the other two equipments had faced the serious problems when they attempted to operate. Thus, their team had kept adjusting the code and parameter.

Generally speaking, the environment and type of exhibition was very similar, but the scale was much bigger than what had done in Taiwan. Thailand have been the great industrial country in ASEAN and located in the center of Indochina. Thus, the related-industry exhibitions are able to attract the nearby countries to participate and visit. Due to the dynamic equipment we had showed, more visitor could be attracted to go closer for taking the deeper inspect. For diverse culture, I generally introduced our product in English so as to communicate with our colleague. We had been familiar with each other in short time, and I had accepted a vast amount of assistance.

 Although, the major target in this business trip focused on the dealing with the exhibition, but free time after the work in the evening we still could arrange the interesting activities. My colleague would introduce and take me to the famous restaurant in the Bangkok. The first night, we went to eat the hot pot in the department store. What surprised me was not only the Thai type of hot pot but also the scale of the department store. The scale of the department store is regularly much larger than what is in the Taipei. For example, the well-known banks generally establish the branch office in the department store and open until the evening. On the other hand, the tastes and services of hot pot in Thailand we truly could get used to in the short time.

The second night, we had visited the train night market near the hotel I had stayed. And, there are several department stores nearby as well. This train night market is the well-known sightseeing spots in Bangkok, though the traffic condition is not well enough. It is inclusive of the restaurants, snacks and the clothes vendors, but they had done greater management which three parts had been separated. Thus, we won’t feel dirty in the night market just like what is in Taiwan. Even there were a vast amount of goods sold much cheaper here, I still merely looked around without purchasing any one and went to the department stores for regular leverage in Thailand among the hypermarket. This night, I went back to the hotel by the taxi of motorcycle which had to bargain with the driver. It was another very special experience.

The next night, due to Friday, we went to the local restaurant like the sports bar in Taiwan. They enjoyed the football broadcast and live band in the restaurant simultaneously. They really wanted to celebrate the end of the week and played group game on the table, although the partly language barrier still existed during the process. However, I even hadn’t been such kind of bar in Taiwan, I couldn’t make the objectively comparison of the bar in above two counties. As time flied, the final day was the Saturday, fewer people visited the exhibition also and we had passed this period smoothly. We had packed whole equipments altogether nearly the end of the entirely exhibition. We had introduced our product to many potential clients and collected the various opinions from them as well. Our equipments would delivery to the Vietnam for another demonstration of potential client afterward.

The final night, I spent more time on purchasing the souvenir in the hypermarket for this trip, and I went back to the hotel on foot enjoying the last time in Thailand. I really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel and I found out the jacket which lost in the breakfast restaurant in the last morning. My original fight had been cancelled due to the strike event, but my colleague in Taiwan helped me to modified the fight which made me can go back to Taiwan on the same day. Generally speaking, I had achieved the target smoothly and exactly enjoyed the days in Thailand these days also.
