Video Game

The recent stay home life made us check what we can do at home again and again. Last several weeks, I had checked the movie, music and books platform on the Internet. However, currently, except for the movie streaming platform, the other would be difficult to be involved in my daily life. Next, I would check the other hobbies related to the computer, such as blogger writing, music composing and 3D drawing. However, above hobbies are too similar to what I have done in work, I decided to decrease the time and effort on all of them. The next big thing on the computer is playing computer game, and I would check what the requirement for me to play them is.

Playing computer game might be the one of two major activities for most of the people. Since we were in the elementary school, the video game has already be part of our life. It provided extensive world and diversified way to enjoy it. In that era, there were two main systems, one was the TV game and other was the portable game. Two of them were much cheaper than the computer, and it could also provide better quality and experience than computer. I had my own PlayStation since fourth grade in elementary school, but some famous games only released on the particular system. I played the racing game much more than fighting game, and I usually didn’t want to play the long journey game which required me to spent time on researching it.

After the junior high school, the computers had been progressive dramatically. More and more people played the computer game instead of playing video game. Most of my classmates were involved in the online games, but I thought it would waste my time so I usually played the NBA Live 2004 instead which only fifty minutes each time. For the next six years, I had extremely focused on that game, I had finished several seasons. In fact, the computer game had been progressive very quickly at that moment. The new version of the computer games were always had the much better quality and performance than the previous one, but fortunately I had not interests on following the latest version of the game.

Then, I had moved to the Hsinchu when I was the collage and graduated student. In that period, I seldom played the computer games because all of my time spent on the club and sports. By the way, I only had the lower level of notebook computer which I had thought it couldn’t play the computer game at all. I only played the game when I went back to Taipei, which means that I only played the games once a month.  The Next, the first three years live in dormitory of corporation, I hadn’t played games at all, because the other things also occupied most of my time.

After marriage, I had my own place and lots of free time. I had tried to install the games on my notebook computer. The first two of them was MLB 2K and NBA 2K. I had acquired these games for previous version, so it must be much cheaper. I had played those games with the PlayStation controller. The reason why I loved to play the sports game was that it would be connected with my truly life. In that period, the game online platform had been raised, so we can choose the computer game online and download instead of going to the physical store. Thus, we could find out the game in all over the world. It also made me to focus on the racing game again. I had purchase the bus simulator, GRID and the crew. I also purchased the wheel controller to achieve dreams in my childhood.

On the other hand, I had seldom played the portable games, even if the smart mobile phones had been ubiquitous. I purchased the second hand game boy and finished the pocket monster to achieve another dreams in the childhood. I had also downloaded several free games on the mobile, but in fact, I still didn’t have too many interests on playing them. I always thought that mobile phone is suitable for killing time in the outdoor, but the smaller screen and poor audio won’t make us enjoy the game playing. Currently, I merely play the football game on the computer. It won’t cost me too much time and I also want to know more about the football culture and train to listen the Europe accent as well. I can play it with the controller and sometimes I also can connect to the projector, so I don’t think I should have other additional platform currently.
