Hohaiyan Rock Festival and Ilan

The Hohaiyan Rock Festival we have been every day would be held this weekend, so we take a three day vacation on these days. I remember that we had been last year also, but we went home early due to we were afraid that we would miss the last train. As a result, we rent a car before this year and we would stay at Ilan.

First day, Friday, my friend set out from Hsinchu and then I meet them at Taipei. We went there by freeway No5, but we still arrived at three pm. There were not too much for us to play at the beach. When the time was up, we went to the stage fast and choose a great place to dig a big hole and lay down on the beach during all night. It was the longest time I have listened the performance ever. It was very comfortable with wind and music. We drank some beer and ate some dunk food, or on the other words, enjoyed the life. Second day, we got up at 5:30. We would go to learn how to surf. The beach was near where we had lived. The coach spent about ten minutes teaching us. Then we would take some easy practice after going to sea. How to make enough speed and good balance are the most important things when surfing. However, the waves were bigger than we have imagined and ocean current puff us toward another place. After three hours, none of us could master surfing, but all of us were very tired. Thus, we decided to go back to B&B and took a sleep again. In the afternoon, we went to Ilan and LuoDong, taking some relaxed trip such as going to department store or night market.




The third day, we took the easy trip also, but we went back to Hsinchu by North Cross-Island Highway I have wanted to go for a long time. Fortunately, the weather was good also, not like the last trip we went to mountains with rainy day. We arrived at Hsinchu at the evening, just like we think before. However, I had to go back to Taipei by motorcycle. It was another challenge. Above all, these three days, we tried many new things, surfing, and another way on Rock Festival. Nonetheless, we will go eastern next month again. I think I have to take the good plan now.
