Receive The Previously Experience

The Taiping Shan, where is located in Yilan, is the famous mountain for traveler and climber. Due to the rich natural resource, it was the one of the three main forests to provide the woods for Japan. Thus, the traffic construction was relatively complete than the other mountains. Furthermore, the economics of Yilan at that age were influenced by this industry. Unfortunately, the strong typhoon hit last year had damaged enormous public facilities and trees. We were not able to ensure the progress of the restore prior to the departure. However, the trip was much easier which we went through the main trail instead of challenging the difficult route this time.

I hadn’t ever been there until the mountain club took a trip at there. Last time, we went through the way that few people know it, but the routine passing by two beautiful lakes on the mountain. We even encamped at one of them. It was an extremely cold night in my life. When we got up on the next morning, everything we had put outside the camp was freezing. Additional, we arrived at the trailhead on one o’clock in midnight, which made us feel tired in the beginning of the entire trip.

This time, we plan a public route via the regular highway instead of the critical line. Due to the serious typhoon, we were not able to ensure how large the range was available after the significant damage. This was the two days trip, but we have hung out in the Yilan on the first day. We chose take the province highway instead of the freeway. Not only for preventing encounter the enormous traffic jams, but also for visiting several viewpoints in that Taipei-Yilan highway. We also visited the Jiaoxi and Suao when we arrived at Yilan. In the evening, after finishing the dinner at Luodong night market, we set out to the bed and breakfast at the foot of the Taiping Mountain but far from the downtown. The last time I had visited Luodong might be over three years ago. It was no longer easy to take the long-day trip after graduating from the school. What we need to do was to prepare and purchase anything we would be likely to be necessary. At the end of the night, we arrived at the bed and breakfast where located in the river bank.

The next morning, we set out to the Taiping Mountain directly after eating breakfast at the bed and breakfast. The traffic condition was fine so that it didn’t spend time on the traffic jam. We drove the car along the river and climbed up the mountain at the intersection. We stayed at any probably viewpoint on the way. We witness the serious damage caused by the typhoon at the train station in the beginning. Afterward, we started to jog on the trails which are surrounded by the forests. Unfortunately, parts of tails were closed due to the damage by typhoon. At noon, we stayed at the central of the part where service center and official located. There were complete supports there, so several tourists gathered near the service center. Some trails also located here.

In the afternoon, we wanted to visit the most beautiful lake in this park. However, the weather gradually became worse. The heavily fog filled in the air and we hardly saw the view far from us. Consequently, the trail hadn’t damaged by the typhoon, we still were not able to any part of lake when we arrived there. On the way home, it was still serious foggy which made us drive extremely slowly and carefully. The sky got dark before leaving the mountain. Eventually, we got to department store at Yilan and ate and dinner. The next way home to Taipei and Zhongli was smoothly. We believe that we would visit another forest park in Yilan soon.
