Stay or Leave?

Eventually, the three years RDSS period had been finished last month. It is the check point for us to inspect the acquisition from the work in the three years and analyze the advantage and disadvantage of this job. Obviously, for a vast amount of colleagues, it would be the point for them to make the decision whether stay here or not in the future. The best advantage working here is the acceptable working hours where I had merely worked overtime once in the entire three years. On the other hand, the deeply and useful knowledge of mechanic and management are able to acquire during conducting several projects. For the first year, we had focused on the technique of mechanical design including drawing, estimation of dimension and considered the manufacturing process also. In the second phase, we had taken over the simulation tasks which required evaluating and analyzing the geometry and dimension of each specific part by simulation with given external mechanical conditions. Furthermore, I started to lead the new product development projects which I was not only able to acquire the entire process of plan and manufacturing but also gain the experience of coordination with distinct groups of people.

In the beginning of the third year, I thought that I was supposed to change the environment to acquire the manufacturing and site knowledge. Consequently, I asked for transferring to another division and I exactly expanded my vision when dealing with different matter indeed. Though, the tempo and environment of the new work is enjoyable so far, I still think I should plan the long-term schedule for the future.

In my original plan, I am highly likely to change the job after the next New Year due to another attempt in different domain. However, in the beginning of this year, the courses related to the computer science had launched which make me have another reason to stay here for finishing there courses. Furthermore, the relevant projects would be hold followed by above courses also indicated the opportunities presented for further practice and learning. Indeed, according to the original plan, I still necessary to set the checkpoint on the beginning of next New Year which probably including the effective of working and achievement of learning new skills. How the ensure above issues might be the critical task in the next several months. For short, if I could continuously acquire the new knowledge from these projects, I would stay here. If not, I will leave for the further knowledge and vision acquisition.
